Social Connection & Belonging
This level of the unconscious is about the ability to belong, to participate, and to feel needed. When balanced, it brings a sense of connection, collaboration, and meaningful involvement with others. The person feels they matter — that they are part of something alive and shared. When distorted, it can lead to isolation, resentment, or emotional shutdown. There may be a fear of being unwanted or a tendency to overgive just to feel connected. Scents that support this level restore trust in human connection and help rebuild a healthy bond with community and purpose.

This level of the unconscious is about the ability to be part of society, to engage with others, to feel needed, and to contribute to something greater.
It’s about involvement, warm human connection, and the capacity to be present with others — without losing yourself.
When this layer is in balance, a person easily finds their place among people.
They can work in a team, build partnerships, feel a sense of purpose in their relationships.
They feel that their presence matters, that they are part of the living fabric of community.
There is trust, and an inner sense of: “I can be with others — and it’s good.”
But when this level is distorted, feelings of isolation, rejection, or disconnection may arise.
A person might feel they are unwanted, unnecessary, or invisible.
They may avoid responsibility, struggle with even simple daily tasks, or feel overwhelmed by anxiety and depression.
Sometimes they withdraw completely; other times, they try to “save” everyone around them — just to feel some kind of bond.
This level of the unconscious is the realm of love and generous expansion.
When in balance, it brings a natural flow of giving that doesn’t drain you — a warm, steady current of empathy, care, and inclusion.
When disrupted, it becomes overgiving, resentment, or emotional shutdown.
At the core may live unconscious beliefs like: “I must do everything alone,” “No one needs me,” or “I can’t trust anyone.”
The scents in this category work gently but deeply:
they help dissolve inner barriers,
restore the feeling of connectedness,
and remind us that being with others can be a source of strength —
that kindness and participation are not signs of weakness,
but essential steps on the path of becoming whole.
